I am glad that the election is finally over !! Does it seem that this has been going on forever or what ? Now before you get all worked up & think this is going to be a political message.....I just say "hold on" & allow me to ramble for awhile.... !A founding member of the "Kickin' the Rooster , 9th Ward Social Club" & I have a fondness for picking up change that we see while we are running. I thought that perhaps we were the only ones doing this until I read an article on http://www.runnersworld.com/ about the same subject . I was a little "miffed" that someone had stolen my idea , but hey...it's a free country ! I am rambling , but I warned ya' !
Anyway..I (we) have found several coins on our routes , always picking them up regardless of whether it is "heads or tails". Which brings me to another point...( I warned ya') that I don't believe in "luck", so I pick up my "finds" , against another members advice , bring them home & "feed the pig" ! I don't really know what I have"banked" over the miles, but it isn't enough to allow early retirement !
So I haven't gotten rich & I am picking up coins whether or not the right side of the coin is "up"...what does that have to do w/ anything about the election ? Glad you asked !!
I warned ya' that I was going to ramble....."Feeding the Pig" ....
1 Samuel 8:5 , 19-22: ......"give us a king like all the other nations have".
But the people refused to listen to Samuel's warning. " Even so, we still want a king " they said. " We want to be like the nations around us. Our king will govern us & lead us into battle".
So Samuel told the Lord what the people had said , and the Lord replied, "Do as they say, & give them a king". Then Samuel agreed & sent the people home.
Continued......next time , "Two sides to Every Coin".

weird you quoted that verse dad because Amber Preston and I were talking about this same Bible reference related to the election just like an hour ago.
So true
Love u
Wow Runnin' I think I know where you are going with this. Our new king seemed to spend the last two years unchallenged. Now that we have what we want, will we want what we have? We have a feel good. Quiet frankly the only part I like about this is the apparent barriers of race that were broken. But remember what the late Dr. King said, Not the color of our skin but the content of our character. This scares me about our new king.
